**Russia and Ukraine Trade Air Strikes**
Russia has attacked Ukraine with nearly 1,500 strikes over the past few days. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said these attacks have caused dozens of injuries across half of the country’s regions.
**Ukraine Fires Back**
In response, Ukraine’s military has struck a key oil depot south of Moscow and targets in the Bryansk and Kursk border regions. This is the first time Ukraine has used US and British missiles against Russia.
**US Support for Ukraine**
The US has given Ukraine permission to use longer-range Atacms missiles against targets inside Russia. This decision was made after Russia’s use of North Korean troops. The US hopes this will give Ukraine an advantage on the battlefield before a potential change in leadership in Washington.
**Casualties and Damage**
In one attack, 23 people were injured in the city of Kharkiv when a missile struck residential buildings, schools, and a university sports hall. Ten people were also injured in Odesa. Regional officials reported injuries in three other regions.
**Ukraine’s Military Strikes**
The Ukrainian military said it had used drones to strike an oil depot southeast of Moscow. Eight drones were destroyed by Russian air defenses, but the attack caused a fire at the site.
**Russia Denies Attacks**
Russian military bloggers claimed that an air base in Kursk region was hit by US-supplied Atacms missiles. However, Russia’s defense ministry only said it had shot down eight ballistic missiles from Ukraine without specifying where they were launched.
