**Russia Accuses Foreign State of Planning Deadly Concert Attack**
Russian officials say a foreign country’s special services planned and carried out last year’s attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall. The attack killed 145 people and injured many more.
The Russian Investigative Committee claims the attack was meant to cause trouble in Russia, but didn’t specify which country is to blame. Six Central Asian men have been charged for allegedly helping with the attack. They are now wanted by Russia and can’t be found.
19 other suspects are being held in custody connected to the attack. Four key suspects appeared in court last March on terrorism charges. They looked badly beaten, with one suspect appearing barely conscious.
The attack happened at Crocus City Hall on March 22, 2024. It was the deadliest in Russia in years and left many people wounded. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack, saying gunmen opened fire and set the building on fire.
Despite this, Russian officials have said that Ukraine might have been involved in the attack. But Ukraine has denied any involvement.
