Officials in Krasnodar Krai and Bryansk oblasts claim that their air defenses stopped multiple drone incursions overnight from Ukraine.
Russian authorities in Krasnodar Krai and Bryansk Oblast and Rostov Oblast have claimed that drone attacks and air defence operations took place during the night of 9th October.
Veniamin Kodratiev said that debris from a drone damaged a gas pipeline and shattered the windows of a private residence located in the village Shabelskoye. No one was reported to have been injured.
Alexander Bogomaz, the Governor of Bryansk Oblast claimed that Russian air defenses had destroyed 12 drones.
Vasily Golubev, Governor of Rostov Oblast, said that 10 Ukrainian UAVs had been shot down overnight over the oblast.
Golubev said that ten fixed-wing drones had been destroyed, one in the Novoshakhtinsk region and nine in southwest of the oblast. He also said that debris in the Kagalnitsky District caused a landscape blaze, which was quickly extinguished.
Since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, combat drones are regularly entering Russian regions. This has resulted in destruction and casualties.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that these attacks originated in Ukraine, although Kyiv does not usually comment on such reports.
Suspilne reports that the Ukraine destroyed a Russian radar NeboM in Bryansk Oblast. This significantly reduced Russia‘s ability to monitor and bomb Ukrainian territory.
