Russian Attack Hits Odesa Residential Area
A Russian ballistic missile hit central Odesa on November 25. The attack injured six people, said Oleksandr Kharlov, First Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
The missile struck a residential area with a dental clinic and a pharmacy. There was no sign of military targets in the area.
One person is in critical condition. Five others are in moderate condition, said Kharlov.
Russian troops often target civilian areas and energy infrastructure to disrupt daily life in Ukraine. They also try to demoralize the population into giving up their resistance to Russian aggression.
Kharlov believes that Russia‘s main goal in attacking Odesa is to scare its residents. “I think the enemy’s main goal is to intimidate the civilian population of Odesa Oblast,” he said.
