**Russia Launches Mass Aerial Attack on Ukraine**
On December 25, Russia launched a mass aerial attack against cities across Ukraine. The attack targeted cities including Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Kremenchuk with missiles and drones.
**Kharkiv Hit Hard**
The northeastern city of Kharkiv was one of the hardest hit. Local authorities reported “massive rocket fire” from ballistic missiles, injuring at least two civilians. Multiple missile strikes targeted the city, causing fires and damage to civilian infrastructure.
**Emergency Blackouts Imposed**
Multiple cities in Ukraine imposed emergency blackouts amid the attack. The Air Force reported that Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers had taken flight overnight, and later announced that a number of Kalibr cruise missiles had been launched from the Black Sea.
**Russia’s Attacks Intensify**
The mass attack follows a ballistic missile strike against Kryvyi Rih on Christmas Eve, which killed one civilian and injured 15 more. Russia has also intensified its attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, with President Vladimir Putin promising “more destruction” for Ukraine in recent days.
**Humanitarian Aid Office Raided**
In a separate incident, a Russian office storing humanitarian aid for front-line military personnel was raided. The office was storing supplies, according to United Russia representative Vladimir Zhgilyov.
