**Ukraine Hits Russian Targets with US Missiles**
Russia is getting ready to hit back after confirming that Ukraine has launched several American-made missiles at targets in its territory.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said on Monday (26 November) that Ukrainian forces had fired ATACMS missiles at military targets in the Kursk Oblast region. This happened twice, on 23 and 25 November.
**US-Lifted Restrictions**
Just a few weeks ago, US President Biden gave Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russian territory. Since then, there have been reports of Ukrainian forces using these missiles against Russian targets.
On Tuesday (26 November), the Russian ministry announced that it is preparing a response to Ukraine’s actions. This comes after Ukraine struck an S-400 air defense missile division position on 23 November and the Kursk-East airfield on 25 November.
**Injuries Reported**
Two military personnel were injured when debris from one of the Ukrainian missiles hit the ground near the Kursk-East airfield.
The Russian ministry reported that some of the Ukrainian missiles were destroyed, while others reached their targets. It also confirmed that Ukraine used American-made ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads against the Kursk-East military airfield.
**Ukraine’s Use of US Missiles**
This is the first time Ukraine has used these particular missiles in its attacks on Russia. Analysts say that the strikes show Ukraine’s growing capabilities and willingness to use Western-supplied weapons to hit Russian targets.
