Serhiy lysak, the Dnipropetrovsk governor, said that Russian forces attacked areas near Dnipro, causing infrastructure damage and injuring eight people, including two children.
Lysak stated that the Russian attack caused damage to infrastructure, but did not specify the exact location of explosions.
According to the governor, an attack by Russians injured eight people including two children. A girl aged 8 sustained shrapnel injuries to her face. A boy aged 15 received injuries to his shins. Both are in stable conditions.
A woman aged 83 is also in a serious condition in the hospital with a leg injury.
The attack is part of a pattern in which Russia has attacked Dnipro. This city, located 395 km from Kyiv, is a vital logistic and humanitarian center.
According to Lysak, Russian forces fired a ballistic rocket at the city on the 1st of November, damaging the campus Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.
On 26 October, a Russian strike targeted Mechnikov hospital, a vital medical facility that treats war casualties. Regional authorities confirmed five deaths in the search and rescue operation that concluded on 26th October.
Local officials claim that Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and Nikopol have been the target of Russian artillery and rocket attacks, which have targeted critical infrastructure and disrupted essential services since 2022.
