**Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Condemns Russia’s Attacks on Civilians**
The Ukrainian government is speaking out against recent attacks by Russian forces. On March 23, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha condemned Russia for its continued attacks on civilians.
Russia launched a mass drone attack on Kyiv the night before, striking multiple residential buildings and killing at least three people, including a five-year-old girl and her father. Ten others were injured, including an 11-month-old child.
Sybiha wrote on X that Russia’s actions “contradict its own statements about peace and undermine peace efforts by the US and other partners.” He also called for additional air defense capabilities to protect Ukrainian civilians from Russian terror.
The attacks come despite a recent agreement between Russia and Ukraine for a partial 30-day ceasefire on energy infrastructure strikes. However, this has not stopped Moscow from deliberately attacking Ukrainian cities.
The latest attacks occurred just before peace negotiations in Riyadh, where the US will hold indirect talks between Moscow and Kyiv. A Ukrainian delegation met with their US counterparts to discuss technical issues related to the partial ceasefire.
