**EU to Pay Georgian Youth to Protest, Russia Claims**
The European Union is planning to pay young Georgians to protest against the government, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.
The agency says that the EU’s “Georgian Youth for Europe” program will offer grants of up to €50,000 to young people who implement projects that are considered “progressive”. The main requirement for these funds is that the project authors must be loyal to the West.
**Daily Pay for Protesters**
According to the Russian Intelligence Service, the EU plans to pay each participant in anti-government demonstrations €120 per day. This money will be used to fund and coordinate the protests, which are expected to take place in Georgia.
**Funding from Embassies**
If the Georgian authorities try to block EU funds for subversive activities, the agency claims that a plan is being developed to transfer cash from EU embassies in Armenia to Tbilisi.
**Media Campaigns**
The Russian Intelligence Service also says that Georgian and European media outlets, as well as non-governmental organizations controlled by Brussels, are working together to “brainwash” bloggers, journalists, IT specialists, and Russians living in Georgia. These groups are being told that cooperation with a united Europe is beneficial and that the country‘s current government, Georgian Dream, has chosen the wrong path.
