Astra, a Russian Telegram news channel, reported that drones attacked the Khanskaya Military Airfield in Russia’s Republic of Adygea early on October 10, 2010.
The airfield is located close to the capital city, Maykop, in the village of Khanskaya.
Astra reported that residents claimed drones attacked the base in the middle of the night. According to NASA’s Fire Monitoring Program, a fire has been recorded at the site after the attack.
Local authorities have not commented about the alleged strike.
Astra reports that the Khanskaya Airfield is home to Russia’s 272nd Training Aviation Regiment.
