**Russia Attacks Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine**
On February 22, Russia launched a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The attack killed one person and injured five others.
The victims included four women and one man. Three of them were taken to hospital, with one woman in critical condition. A fire broke out at the site of the attack but has been put out.
The city’s infrastructure was badly damaged. Twelve apartment buildings, a retirement home, and a church were among the buildings hit. Several vehicles and a gas station also suffered damage.
Kryvyi Rih is a frequent target of Russian missile strikes. It is President Volodymyr Zelensky‘s hometown and has a population of around 660,000 people.
