As Russia has increased its defensive measures, you can see Russian boom defenses floating near the coast.
According to a report published by RFE/RL’s Crimea.Realii on 13 October, boom defenses intended to guard the Kerch Bridge that connects Russian-occupied Crimea with mainland Russia have been observed drifting close to the shore of Kerch.
The bridge was built by the Russians before their full-scale invasion in order to connect Russia with occupied Crimea. Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a July Interview with The Guardian, did not specify a timeline on the possible destruction of the Kerch Bridge. He did, however, stress that Kyiv intends to reclaim Crimea. “It’s real. The general said, “Of course, this is a major military secret.”
