Overnight, Russian forces launched guided missiles, drones, and bombs on multiple Ukrainian cities, causing civilian casualties and damage, including to homes, hospitals, educational facilities, and infrastructure.
According to regional officials, multiple Ukrainian cities were attacked by Russia overnight on 8 November. This resulted in civilian infrastructure damage and casualties.
The Russian military regularly targets Ukrainian oblasts using various types of weapons, including strike UAVs and missiles. They also use CABs and MLRS. Russia’s leadership denies the Russian army conducts targeted attacks during a full scale war on the civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian cities and villages. This includes killing civilians, destroying schools, kindergartens, and energy and water supply installations.
Ruslan Kravchenko said that four car drivers in Kyiv Oblast were injured during a missile strike by falling debris. According to reports, one man is in a serious condition and two drivers are in a moderate condition.
Six private houses and four vehicles were also damaged in the attack. A fire was also started on the grass flooring of a gas station that had closed.
The State Emergency Service reported that in Odesa, nine people were injured and one person died. The attack caused damage to residential buildings. Two homes caught fire. The attack also affected vehicles, warehouses, and educational institutions.
The attack injured 25 people including a baby of three months. About 30 people, including four children, were evacuated from the house.
The attack damaged five vehicles, as well as nearby structures and metro station exits.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian military destroyed all four Kh59/69 aircraft missiles as well as 62 of 92 Drones. Drones were destroyed in 12 oblasts. Another 26 drones were lost on the ground, and one was lost in Ukraine’s airspace. The Russian army launched an Iskander M missile and used guided aerial bombs to attack Kharkiv oblast and Sumy oblast.
Nine people have been killed in the Russian attack against Zaporizhzhia, including an infant. About 42 people were injured. Local authorities claim that six guided bombs were launched by Russian forces at the city. One of them hit an oncological hospital where a doctor was severely injured.
