A hacker attack on the digital infrastructure of ‘s largest state , VGTRK, occurred on October 7, disrupting online broadcasts for Rossiya-1 & . The cyberattack was directed at internal services of VGTRK, according to the pro-state Russian publication Gazeta.ru, citing an unnamed source. “Our specialists are working on eliminating the consequences of this malicious intervention,” VGTRK stated on its VKontakte Channel, claiming that company suffered no major damage. The online broadcast of Rossiya-1 & Rossiya-24 can be accessed as of October 8. hacker have been attacking Russian platforms on a regular bases since Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The HUR reported that representatives of Russian providers described it as “the most powerful DDoS attacks they have ever experienced.” In July, Ukraine’s Agency launched a cyberattack on the Russian banking system. It targeted several top banks. The result was that Russian bank users could not withdraw cash and their debit or credit cards were blocked when they tried to use ATMs.
