Russian TV Shows Explicit Photos of Melania Trump
Last week, Russia’s state-controlled media channel, Russia 1, showed some personal photos of Melania Trump. The pictures were from her modeling career and shown on a prime-time news program.
The host and producer, Olga Skabeeva and Yevgeny Popov, talked about the photos during their show “60 Minutes”. They said one photo was from a magazine cover in 2000. In that picture, Melania was wearing very little.
Melania Trump was a model when she met Donald Trump in 1998. The TV channel’s decision to show these photos is not clear. Since Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, controls the media, it’s hard to say why they chose this story.
The US presidential election has big effects on Russia and Ukraine. Some people think Donald Trump might make deals with Putin that hurt Ukraine. Putin congratulated Trump on his win and said he wanted to talk to him about it.
But later, the Kremlin denied a phone call between Trump and Putin where Trump advised against escalating the conflict in Ukraine.
