Russia’s current equipment losses are the highest since 2022

Newsweek reports that an analysis of the Oryx Project data, which tracks visually verified Ukrainian and Russian equipment losses, shows that in experienced a rate of destroyed or taken assets in over two year’s time in October 2024.
The Oryx Blog has been tracking Russian equipment losses since the all-out conflict began 24 February, 2022. It notes that strict proof means actual losses are “significantly greater.” Russia’s losses can be attributed Moscow’s increased efforts to capture before the mudseason, regardless of the cost.
