**Ukraine’s Peace Agreement with Russia: A Divided Nation**
A new global poll has found that there is no clear consensus among Ukrainians about what a potential peace agreement with Russia should look like. The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) conducted the poll and presented respondents with four options relating to NATO/EU membership, security guarantees, and territorial concessions.
**Russia’s Military Strikes Continue**
Russian forces have launched another wave of drone attacks against Ukraine, with 80 Shahed-type drones and various other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacking Ukrainian targets overnight. Air defenses shot down 58 drones over 11 oblasts, while 21 dummy drones were lost in the airspace.
**Damage Reported at Engels Airbase**
A drone attack overnight on Jan. 14 caused damage to an industrial facility in the city of Engels, located in Russia’s Saratov region. The attack is believed to have hit a liquified gas storage area, setting gas tanks on fire.
**Russia Claims Gains in Ukraine’s East**
Russian forces claim to have occupied two more villages in Ukraine’s east, but Kyiv has not confirmed this information. Ukrainian special forces also claim to have repelled a North Korean assault in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, killing 17 soldiers.
**US President-elect Trump on Russian Invasion**
Talking to Newsmax, US President-elect Donald Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to meet as the war “hasn’t gone so well for him either.”
