**New Government Needed in Serbia**
A senior official from the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) has spoken out about what he believes is needed for a new government to be formed. Branko Ruzic thinks that the next prime minister should be independent of President Aleksandar Vucic.
Ruzic said that the next prime minister should not be controlled by President Vucic, who gives the mandate for a government to form. This is not the first time Ruzic has spoken out about this issue.
**A Smaller Government**
Ruzic also thinks that the new government should have clear goals and only include basic ministries. He believes that this would make it easier to resolve the current political crisis in Serbia.
“The prime minister designate would have to have a clear goal and mandate,” Ruzic said. “State publicly that his mission is to resolve the political crisis.”
Ruzic also thinks that students should play a key role in resolving the current situation. He believes that they could help bring things to an end institutionally.
**Students’ Role**
“I expect a new government to be formed and it would be logical for the students to delegate a group to discuss election conditions, the media, judiciary and then talk to the appropriate ministries and calm things through that dialogue to achieve election conditions acceptable to all,” Ruzic said.
