She stressed that the EU’s progress towards granting Georgia candidate status has effectively stopped due to the government’s actions.

Samadashvili praised Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili‘s speech in Strasbourg, saying it represented the voice of the Georgian people in front of European institutions. She also highlighted that Ivanishvili’s meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe shows his acknowledgment of the crisis facing his regime.
