**EU Asked to Help Georgians in Struggle Against Violent Regime**
The current government of Georgia is being called a violent regime. This was said by Salome Samadashvili, a leader of the “Strong Georgia” coalition, at a press conference.
Samadashvili expects that EU foreign ministers will make strong statements and take action against Russia‘s government. She believes that intimidation tactics used by Bidzina Ivanishvili against his own people will not work.
**Situation in Georgia Has Changed**
According to Samadashvili, the situation in Georgia has changed since the last time the European Union discussed it. The country‘s elections were rigged and an investigation was needed then. Now, the government has canceled Georgia’s future with Europe and become a violent regime. People are being tortured and their rights are being violated.
**EU Must Help**
Samadashvili said that today Georgians are risking their lives to protect the European flag. She believes that the EU is not only asked but also obliged to help this struggle. The task of the “Strong Georgia” coalition’s communication is to provide maximum assistance to the Georgian people in this fight.
