**Europe Must Act, Says Georgian President**
The fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, warned that if her country falls into Russian hands again, it will be a disaster not just for Georgia but also for Europe.
Zurabishvili made these comments at the Lithuanian Seimas. She said that Russia is using “hybrid warfare” – a mix of tactics like manipulating elections and using economic power – to try to take control of her country.
She added that if Russia succeeds in Georgia, it will show that they don’t need to use military force anymore. Instead, they can just use these softer methods to get what they want.
**Russia’s New Strategy**
Zurabishvili said that Russia is testing its new strategy in Georgia, and it worked well for them when they tried a more aggressive approach in 2008.
If this approach works in Georgia, she warned that Russia will try to use the same tactics in other countries too. These include Romania, Moldova, and even Ukraine.
**Danger for Europe**
Zurabishvili believes that if Russia succeeds in these countries, it will be a strategic catastrophe for Europe. She said that Europe must act now to prevent this from happening.
