One year ago, Georgia was granted candidate status to join the EU. However, President Zurabishvili claims that since then, the ruling party has taken steps to cancel this path entirely. She stated that every law passed in the past year is aimed at turning Georgia into Russia.
**Georgians Will Not Give Up**
Despite these challenges, President Zurabishvili remains optimistic about the country’s future. She said that Georgians will not surrender and will continue to fight for their right to join the EU.
