**President Warns Georgian Dream**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has given a warning to the ruling party, Georgian Dream. She met with journalists at the Orbelian palace and made her thoughts clear.
Zurabishvili reminded Georgian Dream that they need to preserve the current political situation until October 26. This is so that new elections can be held peacefully. The President said that any other plan would not work because neither Georgia nor its main partners support it.
She told Georgian Dream to think carefully about her words. The President suggested sticking with the last parliament, which was elected in 2020, and keeping the government led by Nino Burjanadze‘s ally, Tamar Zhvania or former justice minister, Giorgi Kobakhidze until new elections are held.
