**President of Georgia Criticizes Judge Over Decision to Keep Protesters in Custody**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has spoken out against a judge’s decision to keep 11 people in custody. These individuals were arrested during protests near the parliament.
Judge Ketevan Jachvadze made the decision to keep the protesters in custody on charges of participating in group violence. However, President Zurabishvili disagrees with this decision. She says that the judicial system is treating Georgian citizens unfairly.
In a post on social media, President Zurabishvili wrote: “Ketevan Jachvadze! It’s a shame! And no one should forget your name!” She also stated that the group violence being perpetuated by the judicial system against Georgian citizens will ultimately have negative consequences.
**Protesters Remain in Custody**
The 11 individuals, including actor Andro Chichinadze and comedian Onise Tskhadadze, remain in custody. They do not admit to the charges brought against them.
During the hearing, there was dissatisfaction from the public present in the courtroom. They chanted “slaves” and “Russians”. The protesters’ friends and family are worried about their fate.
