Georgia’s President Meets with Opposition Leaders
The president of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, is talking to representatives from the opposition. The meeting is happening at her office.
This morning, leaders from a group called “Coalition for Change” met with Zurabishvili. She is now discussing things with leaders of another party, the United National Movement (UNM).
Before the meeting started, Tina Bokuchava, who leads the UNM, spoke to journalists. She said that unity among opposition groups is very important right now.
The agenda for the meeting wasn’t clearly stated beforehand. However, Bokuchava mentioned that March 31st would be discussed. This date is significant because it’s both historically important and crucial for the current struggle.
Bokuchava didn’t say if the meeting would result in unity among the opposition groups. She emphasized that her party has always believed that unity is key to saving the country, but this is just one group’s view.
