**President Meets Opposition Leaders**
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili is meeting with leaders of various political parties at the Orbeliani Palace.
First to meet with her was Elene Khoshtaria, a leader of the “Coalition for Change”. The President had already met with leaders from the “Strong Georgia” coalition earlier today.
**Leaders Seek Unifying Role**
The opposition leaders say they initiated these meetings because they believe the President can play a unifying role in the current situation. They want to discuss ways to work together and counter attempts by the ruling party, “Georgian Dream“, to divide society.
“We asked for this meeting,” said Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of “Strong Georgia”. “The President is discussing with us what steps to take next. She’s thinking about her plans.”
**Opposing Division**
Japaridze added that their goal is to oppose the ruling party’s efforts to divide society and instead promote unity among Georgians.
