Salome Zurabishvili responded to the question at the press conference about what would happen if the “Georgian Dream’ won the elections.
Zurabishvili believes that these elections are of vital importance.
The President also answered the question of whether sanctions would be imposed against Russia if the opposition won the elections. Zurabishvili said that “Georgia has never balanced the attitude of Russia and the West”.
“Georgia has joined the sanctions on the same level as Moldova. There are, however, nuances. This is not a big problem. Georgia has never been able to balance its relationship with Russia and the West. Even during the long period that it ruled, the “Georgian Dream”, which was a path of European integration was followed, because there was no other alternative to achieve independence, prosperity and peace for Georgia. 90% of the population agree.
