President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, spoke out against threats and intimidation on December 29.
She said that people are trying to scare her with their words, but she thinks they don‘t really know her. President Zurabishvili promised that after December 29, she will still be the president and continue serving the people.
In a video address, President Zurabishvili said: “Some people think they can intimidate me, talk to me with threats. But I think they still don’t know me.” She added that many groups are ready to protect her, but she doesn’t need protection and isn’t afraid.
President Zurabishvili emphasized that being the president means serving the country and the people. “I will be what I am,” she said. “The president with all its symbolism, importance, independence. And this president will serve you.”
She ended by saying that everything is simple and clear: she serves the country and the people, and they are served by her.
