Georgia’s President Salome Zurabishvili met with economists and financial experts. She said that the country is facing economic isolation, which could lead to a deeper crisis.
This situation started because of policies made by the party “Georgian Dream”. The president believes it’s essential to find solutions for current economic challenges before new elections are held and a new government takes office.
President Zurabishvili said that the meeting with experts was very important. They discussed how to address the crisis if it gets worse. She emphasized that the crisis is not caused by the opposition or street protests, but by “Georgian Dream’s” decision to isolate the country.
The president also talked about the need for immediate action. One idea is to create a bigger fund than before to help people who are affected by unreasonable fines imposed by “Georgian Dream”.
As new elections approach, President Zurabishvili wants to think ahead. She believes that finding solutions now will help prevent the country from getting worse along with “Georgian Dream”.
