Georgia’s President Speaks Out Against Regime
Georgia‘s fifth president, Salome Zurabishvili, spoke at a rally in Zugdidi. She said that Georgia is one country with people who have become representatives of the regime due to their hatred for the nation.
Zurabishvili believes Russia is trying to cause conflict in Georgia through its own style of government. However, she says there are no two sides in Georgia today – only the regime and society.
She also mentioned a court case where innocent people were put on trial. The judge knew that they did nothing wrong and would be freed. Zurabishvili criticized individuals who use hateful language to defend the regime, even going as far as insulting someone’s mother on social media.
The president stated that there is one Georgia with people who love their country more than any political party. She believes this is a new reality in the country and that anyone who wants Georgia to succeed must accept it.
Zurabishvili emphasized that the regime will come to an end as people continue to choose to love their homeland over any political party.
