**Georgian President Slams Investigative Commission**
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has strongly criticized the country’s temporary parliamentary investigative commission. In a speech on Rustaveli Avenue, she accused the commission of being a “punitive formation” that serves revenge rather than seeking truth.
**Commission is an Order from Russia**
Zurabishvili said that the commission’s work is part of a larger plan to destroy Georgia and fulfill a Russian order. She compared the commission to Joseph Stalin‘s notorious prosecutor, Thea Vyshinsky, known for his brutal tactics during the Soviet era.
**Country in Shambles**
The President accused the current regime of weakening the country’s institutions, including the police and military. She said that the commission is part of this effort to destroy Georgia’s statehood and create hopelessness among its people.
**People Will Not Be Silenced**
Zurabishvili called on Georgians not to give in to despair and instead stand up against internal traitors and external enemies. She said that the Georgian people will not allow the commission to fulfill its goal of destroying the country’s statehood.
