Georgia’s President Attacked at Airport
The president of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, was attacked with eggs at the airport. She said it was a planned and organized act of violence.
President Zurabishvili filed a complaint and demanded an investigation into the incident. She also criticized the party “Georgian Dream” for justifying the attack as violence against her.
The president said that she is not just representing herself, but also the state of Georgia and its traditions. She accused the government of being weak and unable to manage the country.
President Zurabishvili thanked the public for their support and solidarity. She also mentioned that the incident damaged Georgia’s image internationally and made it difficult to talk about tourism when there is no security at the airport.
The president emphasized that a state exists only when order and security are ensured for everyone, even those with different political views. She said that the country is losing its state day by day, but the people will continue to stand up and protest.
