Interestingly, today the citizens of occupied Abkhazia are opposing Russia’s attempts to annex their territory. According to President Zurabishvili, this may be just a coincidence. However, she is clear that it is not without significance that people in Abkhazia are standing up for their freedom.

The President emphasized that the fight for freedom and independence will not be successful wherever people stand together against it. She reassured Ukraine that Russia’s attempts to annex territories will ultimately fail.
