**Ukrainian Security Service Detains Group Suspected of Helping Russian Missile Strikes**
The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has detained a group of three people suspected of working with Russia’s military intelligence to help target missile strikes on Kyiv. The SBU announced the arrest on March 31.
The group, which includes one Russian citizen, is accused of helping Russian forces target defense factories, Ukrainian Defense Forces’ weapons systems, and ammunition depots. The Russian citizen allegedly set up an observation post on a high-rise building rooftop to help adjust the fire of Russian strikes.
**Suspects Had Same Supervisor**
According to the SBU, the suspects acted separately but had the same supervisor – a member of Russia’s GRU (Military Intelligence). The investigation found that the suspects were in contact with their supervisor and received instructions from them. Their computer hardware, a quadcopter, and mobile phones were seized by the SBU.
**Charges and Ceasefire Talks**
The suspects have been charged under Ukraine‘s Criminal Code for treason and unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement or deployment of Ukrainian forces. Russia continues to attack Ukrainian cities despite partial ceasefire agreements regarding energy infrastructure and the use of force in the Black Sea.
Ukraine agreed to a 30-day ceasefire if Russia also agrees to it, but so far, Moscow has refused. The SBU’s announcement comes as Ukraine pushes for increased pressure on Russia to stop its aggression.
