On March 20, an explosion occurred in downtown Rivne, a city in western Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is investigating the incident.
**Car Explosion Injured Two People**
According to police, a homemade explosive device went off in a car near a shopping mall in Rivne. The driver and a passenger were injured and taken to hospital. They are receiving treatment.
**Investigation Launched**
The SBU has launched an investigation into the attempted terrorist attack. The probe is being carried out under Ukrainian law. More information about the incident has not been released.
**Previous Attacks in Ukraine**
This latest incident comes after another explosion at a military enlistment office in Rivne in February. The SBU said that Russia was behind that attack too. Last month, the agency also claimed that Russian intelligence services had recruited two teenagers to carry out a terrorist attack in Ivano-Frankivsk, which killed one person and injured three others.
