**Ukraine Foils Russian Backed Attempt**

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has stopped plot to blow up a railway in Oblast. A 23-year-old man was caught and arrested on February 3.

According to the SBU, the man had been instructed by services to sabotage the railway tracks at a junction station. The is used by trains carrying military equipment to Ukraine’ armed forces.

**Explosives Found**

The suspect was caught near the tracks while trying to place explosives for remote detonation. Investigators also discovered that he was tasked with gathering intelligence on military facilities in Lviv Oblast.

**Suspect Had -Russian Views**

The SBU says the man had previously expressed pro-Russian views on social and wanted to move to Russia. He had been prosecuted before for desecrating Ukrainian soldiers’ graves and was recruited by Russia due to his ideology.

**Charged with Treason**

The man has been charged with high treason and sabotage under martial law. This offense can result in life imprisonment and confiscation of property.
