Traffic Accidents in Serbia Down Slightly in 2024
Serbia saw a total of 31,922 traffic accidents from January 1 to December 29, 2024. This number is slightly lower than the same period in 2023.
The bad news is that 501 people died in these accidents and another 18,807 were hurt. The good news is that these numbers are also slightly lower compared to 2023.
The main reasons for fatal traffic accidents in Serbia include speeding on roads that aren’t suitable for it (44%), losing control of a vehicle (14%), and driving while drunk (also 14%).
