**Serbia Offers to Host Trump-Putin Meeting**
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has announced that his country is ready to host a meeting between US President-elect Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated in a television broadcast on January 12.
**Security and Support**
Belgrade can guarantee the security needed for both leaders, according to President Vucic. He also pointed out that Serbia showed strong support for President Trump during his presidential campaign. “There is no country that can compare to Serbia in terms of the level of support for President Trump,” he said.
**Neutrality and Friendly Relations**
Serbia is a good choice because it is not part of any military alliance like NATO, which makes it neutral ground. The country also maintains friendly relations with Russia and has refused to join international sanctions against Moscow.
**Other Options**
Switzerland has also offered to host the meeting. However, no decision has been made yet on where the meeting will take place. A phone call between Trump and Putin is expected in the coming days and weeks to discuss the details of the meeting. The Kremlin has said that a face-to-face meeting will have to wait until after President Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
