**Serbian Students Embark on 1300km Bike Ride to Europe**
A group of Serbian students, along with members of the academic community and a few supporters, set off on bicycles from Novi Sad on Thursday morning. Their destination is Strasbourg, where they plan to meet European officials at the headquarters of the Council of Europe.
The bike ride is aimed at drawing attention to the situation in Serbia and the demands of Serbian students. A large crowd gathered in Novi Sad to see them off, with reporters from N1 and Nova TV joining the cyclists on their journey.
**Long Road Ahead**
The students will travel through several countries, including Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, and France, before reaching Strasbourg. The total distance is approximately 1300km.
**A Message to Europe**
Vladimir Beljanski, president of the Vojvodina Bar Association, is joining the cyclists on their journey. He emphasized that “Europe has been asleep for too long” and needs to take notice of the situation in Serbia.
“This is a big battle for the students,” Beljanski said. “As lawyers, we have been supporting them from the beginning. It’s time for Europe to show its support.”
**Supporting the Students**
The students’ journey has gained significant attention, with many people and organizations showing their support. On Wednesday evening, more than 50 farmers prepared meals at the Novi Sad University campus to raise money for the trip.
SOS Taxi from Novi Sad has also launched a campaign to collect donations for the students. The cyclists started their journey on April 3, and are expected to arrive in Strasbourg on April 17.
