**Serbian Students on 150km March to Kragujevac for Protest**
On Tuesday, students from Belgrade and Nis set out on a long march to the central Serbian city of Kragujevac. They plan to join their peers there for a protest rally on February 15, Serbia’s Statehood Day.
The students are motivated by their quest for answers about the Novi Sad tragedy in November last year. A concrete canopy at the train station collapsed, killing 15 people and injuring two others. The authorities have not given any clear explanations yet.
**Students Determined to Walk for Justice**
The Nis students began their journey on Tuesday morning, walking in temperatures just above zero degrees Celsius. They said they are determined to endure this long walk, which will take them 150 kilometers to Kragujevac and is expected to finish on Friday.
“We have been waiting three months without any responses from the authorities,” one student said. “We expect answers and accountability.”
**Multiple Routes to Kragujevac**
Belgrade students also started their march to Kragujevac, joining Novi Sad students who arrived in Belgrade on Monday evening after a relay race.
Students from Cacak will join their peers in Kragujevac too. They said they will split the 56.5-kilometer walk into two days to make it more enjoyable.
**Protest Rally on February 15**
The protest rally in Kragujevac is planned for Saturday, February 15. Students are calling for a large turnout and a 15-hour blockade of the city’s main road. The event is also coinciding with Candlemas (Sretenje) celebrations by the Serbian Orthodox Church.
