**Parliament Chairman: Opposition Will Enter Parliament**
The chairman of the parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, spoke with journalists about the opposition’s plans to enter the parliament. He said that the opposition is acting in a frivolous way by opening their lists in advance.
According to Papuashvili, this is nothing new. The opposition did the same thing in 2020 and made promises they didn’t keep. They threatened and even sabotaged the work of the parliament.
Papuashvili said that the opposition’s actions are predictable and won’t change the final result. “They have been arguing about lists for two weeks,” he explained. “In the end, their position is that they open the lists in advance. These lists are closed in advance. They are frivolous people.”
**Legitimacy of Parliament**
The chairman also spoke about the legitimacy of the parliament. He said that giving legitimacy to the parliament by the opposition is just empty words. The people gave legitimacy to the parliament on October 26, when “Georgian Dream” won with 54% of the vote.
Papuashvili emphasized that the people are behind them and will continue to support them for the next four years. He also explained how the Parliament of the 11th convocation will meet. It will depend on when the summary protocol is issued by the CEC, or it will meet on the 10th day.
