Georgia’s Parliament Meets with European Officials
The Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, met with members of the Council of Europe. He discussed important issues like human rights and the country‘s effort to join the EU.
Papuashvili wrote on social media that they talked about the ongoing protests in Georgia. He also mentioned that the opposition is boycotting Parliament and using elections as a tool for power struggles.
The meeting was attended by other officials, including Vice Speaker Tea Tsulukiani and Chairman Givi Mikhanadze.
According to Papuashvili, the Georgian government is working hard to join the EU. He said this will be achieved in a timely manner, and Georgia will successfully complete the accession process soon.
