Georgian Parliament Speaker Criticizes President‘s Departure Plans.
The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, has spoken out against plans for President Salome Zurabishvili to leave the Presidential Palace. He believes that if she were to be seen clinging to her chair in a desperate attempt to stay, it would be a ridiculous sight for the public.

The Speaker also commented on opposition consultations with Salome Zurabishvili, saying it’s part of introducing extremism into Georgian politics. He believes this process is being managed from outside, and that foreign politicians are behind calls for a Maidan scenario.
