We did not give in to the opposition, non-governmental groups, and foreign countries who tried to destroy us. Shalva Papuashvili told reporters that we have been able to maintain both peace and economic growth, which is why we are number one in Europe.
According to him the opposition is preparing a declaration of the elections as illegitimate.
“We see signs in particular, when it comes to the party activation of nongovernmental organizations and the non-conducting campaign by the opposition. They did not campaign and we can see that the election campaign is being conducted from abroad. There are plans to repeat the scenario of 2020. The opposition and NGOs joined forces to try and change the government undemocratically. Falsehoods were spread by those who called themselves “mistakes”. What was the purpose behind the publication of the results from the parallel counting? Was it to protest against the non-governments, or the opposition. The goal was to declare parliament illegitimate and not convene at any time, as well as to force extraordinary election,” Papuashvili stated.
According to him, he meant that the government would be under pressure.
“Exactly the scenario that Mrs. Salome announced, the replacement the temporary government. The classic plan is a group of “khunta-style” people who tell the media they are preparing democratic elections. This was also the case in the 1990s. In reality, the period of repression would lead to unfair elections. This was the plan for 2020, but we failed with the people. Now, they are preparing to declare elections illegitimate. The so-called technical government, as Mrs. Salome describes it, and all the “national cluster” that surrounds it, including Gakharia, its “lelo”, and so on, which they are swearing into now, are not a coalition. I didn’t understand what they signed. “It is written in the contract that the government will then be handed over to outsiders,” Papuashvili stated.
According to the Speaker, there was information that non-governmental organizations were being discussed in government offices.
“That is why it’s important that everyone comes to the election tomorrow and says no to this betrayal. Our main strength lies in abundance. Everyone should come to support the “Georgian Dream” and the peaceful development we have achieved. We did not give in to the opposition, non-governmental groups, and foreign countries who tried to destroy us. “We have managed to maintain both peace and economic growth, which is why we are number one in Europe,” Papuashvili stated.
