Georgia’s Parliament May Quit Council of Europe Group
The Chairman of Georgia‘s Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, has made a strong statement. He says that if the country is not treated fairly by other groups in the Council of Europe, then Georgia will not take part.
This reaction comes after another group, Georgian Dream, decided to stop working with the Council of Europe group.
Papuashvili’s message was clear: “If there is no fair treatment of the Georgian state, there will be no participation of the Georgian Parliament in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe!”
