68 complaints were filed with the court. 64 of those lawsuits were filed by “NGOs“. We see that some millionaire NGOs funded from abroad are fighting for Georgian democracy. – Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Parliament, said in relation to the election lawsuits filed against opposition parties and nongovernmental organizations.
According to him non-governmental organisations are trying to disrupt elections and, according him, they want to select the government according to their own will.
“68 complaints were filed with the court. 64 of them are NGO lawsuits. The rest are “Lelo”, a request for lists.
When there are disputes over elections, because it involves parties and their votes, our parties don’t go to court, and NGOs funded by foreign countries are actively involved in undermining elections.
This allows us to understand the situation. We saw it when these millionaire non-profits, who are funded from abroad, were involved in an election campaign. Now we see that they are trying to disrupt Georgian elections, and take away votes from 1,120,000 voters belonging to the “Georgian Dream”. I’m in favor of removing the votes of opposition voters and choosing the authorities based on their will.
This also shows that the opposition has no complaints. They had four complaints in total, of which three were accepted by the court and one was refused. We see that several millionaire NGOs funded from abroad announced the fight against Georgian Democracy”, said Shalva Papuashvili.
