New President Faces Tough Task
The new president of Georgia will have a difficult job to do. This is because the current president, Salome Zurabishvili, has caused problems for the country.
According to Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili’s behavior has been reckless and damaging to the institution of the President. He said she appeared on TV in foreign media and claimed that Russia had conducted elections in Georgia. When asked for evidence by the prosecutor’s office and the US Secretary of State, she made a joke about it.
Papuashvili is unhappy with Salome Zurabishvili’s attitude and behavior. He says that she has damaged the institution of the President beyond repair. He believes that it will take time to fix this damage.
The Chairman of the Parliament also thinks that foreigners and some groups in Georgia have helped Salome Zurabishvili to cause problems for the country. He hopes that the new president will do a better job and restore dignity to the institution.
