**Anti-Corruption Crackdown in Leskovac**

Six people have been arrested in the city of Leskovac, Serbia. They are suspected of money laundering and abuse of official position.

The were made as part of ongoing anti-corruption operation led by the Higher Public ‘s Office in .

**Those Arrested**

* 52-year-old former assistant the Mayor of Leskovac
* A 50-year-old head of the Bojisina Community and owner of a business called Dosta Spasic
* Three heads of local community councils: one from Grdelica Village (61), another from Dobrotin (34), and a third from Zaguzane (64)
* The head of the Mala Grabovnica Local Community Council, a 55-year-old man

**Next Steps**

The suspects will be brought before the relevant prosecutor’s office to face criminal charges. This is part of an ongoing effort by the Internal Affairs , Criminal Police , and Department for the Fight Against Corruption to combat corruption in Serbia.
