Russian Attacks Kill Six People in Ukraine
On December 4, Ukrainian authorities reported that Russian attacks had killed at least six people and injured 16 others over the past day. The attacks occurred across several regions, including Donetsk Oblast.
Donetsk Oblast was particularly affected, with four people killed and 11 injured, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. In Kostiantynivka, a 52-year-old man was killed and four others were injured in an artillery attack. Another person was killed and three were injured in Pokrovsk.
Other regions also reported casualties, including Kherson Oblast, where two people were killed and five injured. However, not all regions were affected equally, with some reporting no casualties despite being attacked.
Ukrainian Air Defenses Shoot Down 29 Russian Drones
In a separate incident, Ukrainian air defenses shot down 29 of the 50 Russian drones launched overnight on December 4. Eighteen drones were lost, and one flew to occupied territories, according to the Air Force statement.
This is not the first time Ukrainian air defenses have successfully intercepted Russian drones. The attacks continue to be a major concern for Ukraine’s military and civilians alike.
Germany Supports Ukraine
Meanwhile, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has expressed support for Ukraine in its negotiations with Russia. She suggested that security guarantees, such as NATO membership and international troops, could help achieve long-term peace.
Global Reaction
Other world leaders have also shown support for Ukraine. Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon reaffirmed her country’s strong backing of Ukraine during a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels.

In an effort to address the mental health needs of its citizens, Ukraine plans to establish nearly 200 new mental health facilities. This move aims to provide critical support to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
