The “Ammunition For Ukraine” campaign raised almost 4.5 millions euros ($4.9million) for the Czech Artillery Initiative after the Slovak Government refused to participate. Around 4 million euros has been spent and the remaining 500,000 will be used by the end the year. Fedor Blascak told Novinky that the initiative’s founder had delivered 122 metric tonnes of ammunition on six trucks. “This is a very clear signal from Slovaks.” Around 70,000 Slovaks participated in the campaign, and continue to contribute regularly to the ammunition to ensure that Ukraine can defend themselves against the aggressor,” Marian Kulich, from the partner group Peace for Ukraine, said. Fico had previously dismissed the initiative and said it wouldn’t impact the situation on front line.
